Denver Urban Homesteading is now selling organic chicken and goat feed!  We purchase feed in bulk from a feed mill that only processes organics. Their feed products are all USDA certified organic and they blend it with North Atlantic sea kelp, food grade diatomaceous earth, live earth humate, and essential oils of oregano to help with disease.  The product details below are supplied by the mill.  We have most of these products most of the time, but because we like to order fresh feed more frequently, sometimes we are out of one product or another.  If you wish to check about the stock call us at 303 534-8700.

ABOUT SOY.  Although the feed we sell listed below has soy in it, we did locate a miller who can sell us bulk quantities of organic chicken and turkey feed sans soy.   The protein is 15%.  There is no fish meal in the feed.  If enough people are interested in this feed, we will order it.  So please contact us if you would be interested in buying it.  We need to order a large enough quantity to get a lower shipping rate (and lower carbon footprint) which we pass on.

Natural insecticide.  Mix some of this, some sand and dirt and let the chickens make a dust bath. The sharp diatoms will rip open the bodies of the mites on the chickens.  It is food grade, so it can be eaten and may kill microbial agents in the throats.
